Anyone having "relations" outside of a monogamous relationship needs to use condoms period. It's not that difficult. I think that older populations are more vulnerable because they think that it won't/can't happen to them... Nothing grosser than an elderly pt with a new diagnosis of an STI...

There is no "stereotypical" STI patient... I have seen patients from ALL KINDS of walks of life out here burning in these streets... I wonder what people are thinking... If any thing OLDER people are less educated about STIs and that also plays a role in their increasing rates of infection...

the bolded is the exact reason that they dont use them...they never really had to...somebody 70 was born in the was born in the 40s
