Do people actually still go to church?

Personally I don't care for it and haven't gone regularly since I moved out of my parents house but in 2019 it doesn't seem like anybody really goes to church like that anymore outside of funerals/weddings.



Even my older relatives who it seems like used to go regularly don't anymore. But maybe that's just my family/circle.



Is it just me or is church/religion status in 2019?

yes the black church is still the foundation of the black community.

it def has its problems but alot of major people go to the church to reach masses of black people.

so yes millions of people still go to church

More and more people are turning away from religion. However, there's still enough people going to church for there to be millionaire pastors walking around, so people definitely still go.

Yes. My last place was across the street from a black church. On the weekends that I worked and was coming home from work Sunday morning it was packed with black folks of various age groups.

Unfortunately on Sunday mornings, on my way to the gym I still see black people dressed in the nines on their way to the church.

Yes. I believe that's why the doors haven't closed and why the parking lot is full on Sundays.

Since now you can get your favorite preacher on the internet, the need to go seems to have diminished.

Also, thats why you have wack singers now.. Most of your great singers started in the church.. Now since nobody cares for church and singing in the choir, nobody can actually sing anymore..

so i'm standing and praying with my eyes closed, next thing i know i'm shoved on my forehead and falling over my chair and lying flat on my ass.
when i open my eyes i see everyone in the row i'm in on the floor just like me

yeah, i'm done with churches for a while.

My uncle and his wife go to church every Sunday and also they go to events during the weekdays at night but he's in his 60s and she's in her 50s.

I feel like only old heads are devoted church members who actually go inside the building. Whereas younger people (20s & 30s) are believers of God but don't really go to church at all instead they just follow his message.

See there's two types of people; those who're church goers and those who are just believers.

these 'millionaire' pastors are usually independently (somewhat) wealthy from books, shows, speaking engagements. Majority of pastors out here are making lower middle class money at like $45k-$50k a year.

See it's type of churches folks are going to. There are some legit pastors not the fame seeking ones like Jamal Bryant etc ... Church services are shorter now and not as judgemental as back in day.Back in day pastors were different they would tell u to not listen to rap, Plpierce your ear etc...Now the pastor's have Pierce ears,tats .Shoot now rap artists are giving concerts at church.
