You're not being clear here. What exactly are you asking about?

:deadhorse:

You're gonna have jokes on every kind of difference, whether it's where you came from, your religion, so how light or dark you are is is no exception.

You mean to tell me you've never heard anyone call someone else "so black he's purple" or "high yella" or anything like that? Everyone's been doing this for years...

I'm a dark skin female I have never had a problem with my skin tone and I never will. But I do know light skin women tend to be favored more.

Close thread.

Do people in the world believe there is a difference of treatment towards light - brown or dark skin black folks?

Oh ok. Yes, its been recorded in tons of histories and exists fully today, the most recent global and terrible example being the Rwandan crisis and what the French colonists did in terms of skin color that led to the Rwandan Genocide in 1994...these examples exist in America (obviously), and the Caribbean Islands like Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti and Dominican Republic...its a subject that is definitely apparent and horrific.

Yes, it's been proven time and time again, dark-skinned famous black guys like Cheadle and Chestnut talked about how they wouldn't get play while growing up because of their skin color, and we all have seen people say shyt like "I don't find black women attractive" or "she's only hot if she has white features".

It's kind of like saying looks don't matter. It's the PC thing to say but we all know it's bullshyt.

I know for a FACT now that you've clowned at least one black person in your life for being too dark, but want to get on here and act like you've never done that shyt.

If there was a safe, easy, and effective way to lighten skin tone you'd see a lot more "light skinned" people around. Fact.

I've only seen this issue online.

Because no one wants to talk about this shyt IRL. It would go against the "race/skin color doesn't matter" narrative the media tries to create. Same way that guys won't talk about women being hypergamous IRL but do it online all the time.
