Do people really think Drake can sing?

Whenever I hear him sing, I'm like, is this dude really trying to sing, like on some real sh*t? Cause he barely can hold a note. He's not even a good rapper, so what makes dude think he can sing?

I heard this song on the radio the other day and was reminded just how unnecessary it was to have him be on the chorus. All Ross needed was that Chrisette Michele broad on the chorus:





I think because of the lack of talent in Rap music now, the bar isn't set that high at all anymore. It's easy for someone like a Drake to stand out, plus he's got a lot of major money from Cash Money Records helping to fund his less than average talent.

Drake is like a modern day Ja Rule in terms of his singing, Ja Rule's music was better though, he NEVER came of as forced and corny as Drake does.

drake can sing to me, but it's more about the lyrics he singing in his song, like the song trust issues is a classic song imo, not cause of his singing but cause of the lyrics, same thing wit the weeknd and frank ocean, they can't sing great, its more about there lyrics, but drake change of pace singing and rapping is cool, I fukk wit it, he not the best singer it rapper, but he do both above average, and he making better song then most rappers

I don't think it's about vocal range or holding a note or none of that shyt, dude just comes up with good harmonies and melodies. The same way he's not a rappity ass rapper, but he can hold his own with the best. At the end of the day, his music just sounds good on the ears, which is the whole point of listening to music in the first place. Can't argue with the final product.

lol i thought it was clear by now that drake's popular more for his "realness,"songwriting and style (even if he did bite it from kanye) than his actual singing Has nothing to do with a "lack of talent" in rap (something that's always been there), and to say he has less than average talent makes you sound like a hater.
