Do people still read blogs?

Obviously not talking about video blogs. I mean there was a point in time where people wrote blogs. Is that still a thing?

The blog era came into age during the late 2000's and early 2010's

Before social media took a strong hold in the early 2010's, the usage of HTML and coding in general inspired a generation of expressing themselves. The focus being on creative writing, art, and style.




Myspace along with Geocities and Bloggerwere the main influences that paved the way for sites like Tumblr and Early Youtube.

Nowadays, the focus is on apps since smartphones dominate the tech industry. Before it was desktops which led to the increase of blogs.

WHY DID FORUMS OUTLIVE BLOGS?

The Blogs became redundant next to social media. i'm talking about topical blogs ike music sites and shyt like that. personal blogs were always ass to me and the good ones can be replicated on a podcast. the bad ones fit into a shyt personal profile on a platform like facebook or instagram.

Forums still serve a need that social media can't meet as is. the level of depth of interaction and exchange of information... I think forums have not found a replacement in the app driven era for all their utility.
