I live in Missouri and and always wondered why men call women:Gals or gal instead of girl or girls.

And im from the Midwest

Lmao I worked with an Irish girl who pronounced 'here', 'where' and 'there' like Chingy. When she said "it's right thurr" I lost it but I couldn't explain to my cac coworkers what was so funny :russ:

They were sounding like that at least back as far as '98 '99. I was surprised how country people sounded. It was a soft slurring 'urr' not hard and obvious like in some rap songs.
Parents lived there mid 70s and said people sounded country, with a Southern influence.
