Inspired by the K-Pop thread do you listen to any foreign language music? What tracks you fukking with? Here a couple songs I listen to

The whole albums both those tracks are from are hard.

French rap tune, the beat is hard and French rap has alot of harrrrd beats rap nikkas need to search for these gems to sample.

Russian rap tune, Russian rap beats go hard aswell.

Brazilian and the second one is a Spanish song by a Romania singer signed to Roc nation. I just like the beat and the bridge before the hook.

Yeah, I stay on Radio.Garden, a website/app that streams almost every radio station on earth.

I don't even know or understand what I'm listening to 9/10 of the time. It's always weird to hear american rap on a radio station in China, Turkey or Kazakhstan.

Safe for this, I would rep if I could

in 2006-10 i was heavy on another forum with a LOT of great foreign music. Had no idea wtf they said, but it sounded hot.

I see booba on here, I know this is probably played to death but this right here was CRAZY the first time i heard it...

Edit: I’m realizing you mean foreign language and not just foreign music, my bad.

My first year going to London in 2001 was like the glory days of garage. When So Solid Crew was at their height.

Still listen to some of their old shyt along with Klashnekoff, Kano, Skepta, Dizzie Rascal, Ms. Dynamite, Akala, Tinie Tempeh, and The Streets.

Speaking of The Streets, just played this old joint the other day.

I haven’t kept up with any of them and I’m sure groups like So Solid, which was dubbed at one point as England’s Wu Tang Clan, not even rapping anymore.

But I still have them on rotation once in a while out of nostalgia purposes. Did a summer exchange in London sophomore year in high school so this brings back a lot of memories.

Also got exposed to other black European artist at the time like Xavier Naidoo from Germany.

Akhenaton from Paris.

Adam Tensta, Sophia Somajo, and Henok Achido from Stockholm.

By the way, Sweden has one of the best music scenes outside of the US. I’m talking about all genres, you can find some really great music artist.

As far as some more recent music, AfroPop like Wande Coal, Stonebwoy, Iyanya, Sarkodie.

Also, got into some Afro Cuban music like Ibeyi who I got introduced to when I attended the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland some years ago.

Ibeyi sings a lot of their songs in Yoruba.

It’s a shyt ton of good music out there. Just need to be willing to explore outside of the states.
