Do these young bucks think Detlef Schrempf could play in this league?

25 years ago Detlef Schrempf won back-to-back 6th Man of the Year awards for the Indiana Pacers.

Schrempf didn't become a regular starter until he was 30, but from 30 to 36 he averaged 17 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game shooting .491 from the field.

Yall really trying to tell me he'd get bullied in the league today?

:jbhmm:

White boy's post up game in 97 was better than Dwight's whole career

Deflef was my boy and one of my favorite players of all time. Dude had moves, ball handling skills, playmaking skills and was a very good defender. He always guarded SFs no matter if it was Pippen or Glen Rice. Didn't matter he guarded them.

Technically, he was the best Euro in the NBA until Kukoc's arrival (and later Dirk).
But he was never viewed as a euro because he played high school and college here:ehh:

Yep you are right about all of that. Even back then detlef said that the reason his game was so refined and his defense was so tough was because he grew up in the states playing ball.
