The mythologizing of Petrovic after his tragic death has been ridiculous. You'd think he was some kind of superstar even though he wasn't even an All-star. Dude was a good 3-point shooter and a feisty competitor, nothing special. Kukoc was a far advanced talent in comparison.
But Dirk shyts all over all euro players, including Sabonis... Not even close.

I respectfully disagree, breh. Divac and kukoc are both on record stating Petrovic was the best player on their Yugoslavian team before the fall of the Soviet union. It just so happened they ended up in better situations when they got to the nba. Divac ended up with the showtime lakers, kukoc the bulls, and petrovic riding the bench behind Clyde Drexler in Portland. When he got to the Nets and was paired with a prime Derrick coleman and Kenny anderson, and actually seeing big minutes as a starter, was ballin for those 2 seasons prior to his death.

I agree Petrovic never reached his full potential but he averaged 22 a game his last season he was a beast and better then Kukoc.
