You have to ask to be tested for anything. They don't just do tests without your permission. So no, not unless a woman asks to be.

You have to give blood work when you're pregnant and you sign papers for blood work and apart of that's being tested is for STD's. They also check iron and vitamin levels and a plethora of other things. There are very few people that read the paperwork, yet alone would purposely opt out of testing specifically for sexually transmitted diseases.

Idk where you're from.. But in Boston they test you for every thing possible on the first check up. They even test the fetus for genetic disorders as early as 10 Weeks. Ofcourse doctors can't do tests without your permission... But really, doctors don't even ask, they just tell you what they're gonna do & expect you too comply. A majority of us trust a doctors judgment & feel like they know what's best for us.
