Alright, y'all know I'm still taking classes for my A+ It Cert. Anyway, I still can't get employment at the fast food and market places. With my skills as I was listening to the Dame Dash interview I was thinking about doing freelance for myself on da side for a while. Like cut grass and start my own little freelance gig. Do y'all freelance because at 27 28 I wanna be my own boss, but mainly freelance. Because I plan to get in more fields besides IT. How is freelancing compared to a normal 9-5?

If you want to get into IT, why would you want to do freelance landscaping breh?
Why not freelance computer gigs?

Edit: i see you want to get into other areas, best of luck... I would put 100% effort into the tech sector as the potential income is alot greater..

Pick a trade and start working. Don't be a jack of all trades master of none. You'll never "be a freelance boss" if you keep chasing these certifications.

Become really good at something. Do your first few jobs for free or for less than what you're worth just to build your name. Then people will start talking about you and the work will start coming to you. Then start advertising yourself.

Then go get a job.
Freelancing is cool if you're doing something you're passionate about or if you're really skilled at the work so you can just knock it out in no time.

But starting from the bottom freelancing pays less then a normal job and you have to do more work. If you can't get out and find yourself a job now, then you can never hope to be successful at life. Do three applications a day. Do call backs. Do walks ins. You'll find something.
