Do we really have to wait until our friends are dead/dying to say we love them?

I mean, really? Other than our parents or significant others, is there a good reason for this? Do we really have to wait until we see them wasting away with no hair on their heads, no eyebrows, all lethargic to say it? Or all discolored and only partially recognizable after several layers of makeup in the weird funeral home light?

I never tell anyone I love them.

It feels weird coming out of my mouth. I told my last girlfriend I did and that took a hell of a long time.

I assume most people wait until that time to say it because when you're living in the present you don't really think that the people you love will be gone soon. You're just enjoying them and the time you're in. And then the assumption that everyone involved just knows the love is already there without it having to be vocalized.

So suddenly having to come to terms with that, facing the inevitable that all your friends will die and even you will die causes a rise in emotions, letting the love fly out. Which probably leads many people to call up the people they care about and tell them they love them after they witness some tragic shyt.

i rarely tell my friends i love them because the men will take offense to it and it's relatively meaningless amongst the women.

but i try to demonstrate with my actions how much i love and and appreciate and fukk with these nikkaz forever. and it's true, you usually don't have to speak on what's understood. when it comes to be their time and they look back on their life, lord willing, they'll know.

I love my friends and they love me (n/h), but the amount of clowning that would ensue if one of us says it would be epic. I'm talking, not being able to live it down for YEARS :snoop:
