I said something similar way back. Rap and wrestling are extremely similar which is very ironic cause the WWE is hapless when it comes to hip hop and being in tune with it. There's a ton of wrestlers, and only a certain amount make it to the top and have standout careers. Same thing in rap. For every Drake and Jay-Z, there are a whole bunch of datpiff 20 download in 3 month mixtape rappers. They're equivalent to the dudes wrestling CZW dark matches.

I always thought rappers and wrestlers are very similar. They work in a cutthroat businesses, lots of competition, they love dissing each other and gossip like women and they are the most colorful characters all around in entertainment.

These days the rap world emulates wrestling more than the other way around

All of these rappers have some sort of gimmick they base their entire image and brand on

At times rappers fake beef just for the show or to promote an upcoming album

Hip hop in 2017 is full of theatrics

MMA and music has taken a lot from wrestling. It's time to take it back.

Yep and take a look at the Booth, the way they bytch about Chance The Rapper is very similar to how wrestling fans hate the Roman Reigns push.

Hip Hip fans LOVE the Indie darling/upstart/lyrical miracle rapper but once they get popular they begin to turn on them (Kendrick Lamar/Seth Rollins).

Then there's Hip Hop fans who will give a seal of approval to an artist just because they're Independent, similar to how wrestling fans do.

100%. There's tons of fans who loved Daniel Bryan as The American Dragon, but once he really found himself in the WWE he "became too mainstream" and hated on him.
