"The Sun of Righteousness will arise with healing in his wings."

this scripture in Malachi is perceived as a reference to the coming messiah, Jesus Christ. In this regard, this clearly solar appellation "Sun of Righteousness" is repeated many times by early Church fathers as being applicable to Christ

Maybe he was a special prophet nothing more idk. He didn't fulfill all of the commandments. Myself personally, I always spoke to G-d without going through Jesus. This holy trinity thing has always seemed complex.

Christ's solar imagery continues in the New Testament, as at John 1:9: "The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world." The "true light" is also discussed at John 8:12:

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

In the end, we need to ask ourselves: Is it more scientifically plausible that 2,000 years ago the God of the cosmos took birth through the womb of a virgin as a Jewish man who walked on water, performed miracles, raised the dead, resurrected himself from death and ascended into heaven - or could it be that this tale is a reworking of older myths in currency around the known world of the time?

I will add in my complaint that most Christians don't follow dietary law. Also, I don't understand how the New Testament overrides the Old Testament, but Christians still use it if they disagree with someone. As of now, this is my current view on Jesus.

The Jews of Rusape, Zimbabwe are a group of people who practice Judaism. Their observance of Judaism is generally in accordance with that of mainstream Judaism practiced in other countries with the exception of a few key aspects. The Rusape Jews, believe that although Jesus was not the Messiah, he was a prophet. They believe that he did not rise to heaven as is taught in Christianity, but was rather buried in Israel as a regular man. The community's origins are attributed to an individual known as William S. Crowdy, who came to the community in the late 19th or early 20th century.

No. Jesus does not fit the Jewish description of their messiah.

We do not believe that it is prophesied that the Messiah will be crucified. We do not believe that the Messiah will be the son of G-d. We do not believe that he will be raised from the dead any more than anyone else. We do not believe that he will appear twice, in what some Christians call a second coming. We do not believe that the Messiah will be our "savior" in the sense that he will redeem us from our sins.

These are all fascinating claims to make concerning anyone, but they are all irrelevant to the Messiah for whom the Jews have awaited these three thousand years. None of these things are prophesied in the Jewish Bible.

What then is this Messiah for whom we wait? The Messiah will be a mortal man, born of a normal man and woman. He will be a man very learned in all sections of the Torah, and he will be a very righteous man. He will be of the undisputed scion of David through his father. He will become uncontested ruler in the Land of Israel over all the People of Israel, that is, all Twelve Tribes of Israel. He will have at least one son, who will be king after the Messiah dies a normal death at an advanced age.

He will be as described by the Prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 11:2-4): "full of wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, knowledge and the fear of G-d . . . he will smite the tyrant with the rod of his mouth, and slay the wicked with the breath of his lips . . ." (Maimonides explains this last as merely a parable, and not to be taken literally.)

Cool. Also, I was close to converting two years ago. I've always felt connected to it. There's so many Black Jews also :banderas:

Jesus
I respect ALL religions and do not mean to troll.

Anyway, as a child I was raised to be a Baptist. I've always felt close to G-d, but the Jesus part always confused me. Now, I'm in a dilemma and I believe in G-d. However, I do question if Jesus was the messiah. If you go back to the Judaism religion he did NOT fulfill all the commandments. Now, I do believe he existed.

Anyway, what do you guys think about him being the messiah? Also, do yall believe in the rapture?

Once again, I'm serious with this thread.

Yes. Jesus is the Messiah and there will be a rapture.

2 Peter 3:2-6 KJV
That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: [3] Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, [4] And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. [5] For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: [6] Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

It was written that people would mock the return of Jesus a long time ago.

Also, keep in mind no other person was expected in advance due to prophecy like Jesus was. If you would like I can get you a list of what He fulfilled.
