Like I guarantee you the title of this post made some of you sensitive ass nikkas feel some type of way.

For me, honestly at this point I feel like I get offended at certain things just because society expects me to.

If a random person tells me to go fukk myself, I'd just hit em with the :childplease: and keep it moving.

But when someone calls me the ****** I have to respond??

Society expects me as a black person to get in my feelings constantly and always be alert to slick comments from other races.

Why aren't we allowed to just chill? We shouldn't allow others to have control over our emotions with a single word. That makes us look so weak:shaq2:

Next time someone offends you, hit em with the:jawalrus: so they know they're not even worth your time.

Anyone else feel me on this or am I crazy:smugdraper:

I never get offended at things anymore. I know people are going to do shyt I don't like, so I have accepted that. Only question is did they do that thing to me, and if so,how hard will I hit them back if at all.

If people on the coli are as outraged as they seem, I gotta imagine they pop blood pressure pills like pez.

Can you really blame them though? Were constantly bombarded with views on how we should be offended and how we should react to certain things. This happens throughout someone's entire life so the brainwashing is thorough.

It takes a really strong person to break out of it.

By society you mean other black people.
Because non-blacks dont give a shyt about what a black person finds offensive.
And "society" shouldn't be choosing what you are offended by.
You're an individual. Once you allow other people to tell you how you should feel about something, you lost.

I do, because the outrage is extremely selective. I understand looking out for your own interests, but if people really want to stay outraged, there are endless reasons to be. I simply choose not to fake it. Couple homies of mine were shot up 2 years ago. Hurt for a moment, but I had no outrage. Got fired from two jobs last year, one of which I Loved, the other I was fired on my second day. No outrage. The human condition is fraught with injustices. I would love to help with different causes, but I don't get mad. I certainly wouldn't pretend to be outraged. The latter seems to cover the "emotions" people display about a lot of things.

You know what I find funny.. people who get offended that you're not offended.. like I'm supposed to be offended at everything that offends you because we share the same skin color, or work on the same floor, or share the same beliefs, but we may have completely different upbringings and experiences.

Got you contemplating.. should I pretend to be offended even though I think it's not that serious :lupe: Should I tell this overly sensitive bytch nikka to shut the fukk up with his whining :lupe: Should I remain neutral :lupe: I wonder if I should stop and get milk on my way home :lupe:

The last portion of your post is what I'm trying to say. The 1st part I don't agree with however. You don't think the media plays a huge role in perpetuating our insecurities? By constantly showing images of black people reacting violently to offensive acts they drill it into our minds that indeed we should be offended.
