I've been curious about this...the case happened to 2003, much different to the times we are living in now.

I believe that if it happened in 2018, where you can find someone guilty without any physical evidence. Do you think Kobe would have been finished due to this?

I strongly believe they would have somehow got more women to accuse Kobe of being aggressive to make sure they buried him in this day in age..

Kobe is pretty lucky

Considering that she had several other semen samples on her draws I doubt he wouldn’t beat the case still. His rep on the other hand would’ve probably taken a much worse hit.
This, probably would have still beat the case, but the coverage and his image would have been worse.

You would have players tweeting support and that being twisted into "Do you support rapists?" at pre game press.

The post OJ court tv era was just as bad. Maybe worst because it wasn’t about activists it was about hyping up celebrity trials for money. The number of people from that era that the general public just “knows he was guilty” :scust:

The difference now is it’s ok to go at white men too.

his rep took a pretty big hit back then. He didn't exactly skate by....wasn't for 2-4 years after that until his reputation recovered. In todays climate i think he would beat the case still, but no way Nike sticks by him and helps him bounce back. His rep would've probably been unrepairable.
