I usually give them dollars above the amount. My barber does a great job and he cuts my sons' hair too. My youngest is autistic and hates getting his hair cut. Took him to my barber and my son didn't trip at all. So he will stay getting tips from me

I have to be honest i am with my barber out of loyalty only, he is a friend and a friend of my father. But this dude can't cut for shyt and is lazy cleaning up the beard and neck. He doesn't deserve a tip but i just round up to the next 10. Or i give him money for my dads next cut. My father does the same for me but we both almost bald gang so it's a quick cut anyway.
This is how it got with my home barber back in the Sipp. At some point he got old, his hand got shaky, but he insisted on still cutting. Line wouldn’t be crisp, just wasn’t getting a quality cut. I stayed going to him when I was home out of loyalty, but I finally had to cut him off a few years ago. My pop just cut him off, but my brother is still trying to remain loyal I guess.
