Yes I do agree. The hardest thing about humans is the ability to love ourselves. That's why I don't believe in people being ugly because that is a standard based on some indivduals standard of beauty. Everyone in this world is attractive to someone the only problem is some people feel they deserve certain things without putting the work in. Weither it's Spirtually, Mentally, Phyically or financially. If humans strived to be there best selves on a Mass level we wouldn't be living in the world that we live in today. Life and it's traumas makes us stuck on things we've felt in the past or present which reflects on how we see ourselves and other people. I try not to judge people in this world because everyone has a story to why they feel negative all the time to what traumas they have endured in life to feel that way. You either help others see through it and breath life into them or just accept that there not ready to tackle that area in life yet and keep it moving.

First off she fine as shyt...Secondly she's right. Walk into a room with a smile, and pleasent disposition and most people will return that energy. Walk into the same room with a frown, tense, and detached, and people will avoid you. This is basic shyt.

There's an element of truth in this but there is much more in the pot, without grounding it leads to magical thinking which a lot of people have

We don't the world as it is. We see it as we are. Expand and reason then and it becomes Self evident that people are simply projections of your inner realm and treat you exactly as you expect in this realm so be careful what you expect because you'll often get the same thing.

I spoke on this previously in a metaphor about two empty cups thirsting for a drink and having nothing to offer the other beyond a clink then wondering why they feel unfulfilled.

Don't think it's that simple.
Our ego is like a mirror. Our persona is partly influenced by those around us and how they view and treat us.
It's like thinking you won't deal with racism or sexism if you just like yourself enough. :mjlol:

and i'm not saying positive self-image and self-affirmations aren't beneficial, because they clearly are. it's not the whole story tho

She makes a good point about seeing the value you bring to the table. Sometimes we forget to do that but it's a good thing to focus on.
