Not in the least.

And believe me, I tried.

I really did.
  • Gave the benefit of the doubt.
  • Held my tongue.
  • Put aside my "misogynistic"/"patriarchal" mindset
And every damn time, they went left. I'm talking romantic relationships, family, religion, work, politics. Every damn time, without fail.

I've come to the conclusion is that you've got to love them for who they are/what they are.

Think the same in what? Values? Principles? Character?

Humans in general are complex beings, so you're going to get different perspectives

By default, women are more emotional. Women display emotional intelligence far better than men. The same emotional intelligence is needed to secure higher social status position. It varies because women can also handle STEM field jobs that requires critical thinking.

Men are more capable of logistics and rational thought. However, men can be very emotional due to being exposed to estrogen hormones (today's food). An emotional man is a recipe for disaster. Literally.

I think at baseline, they do but the difference is marginal and not as pronounced as most folks think it is.

Most of their difference in thought seems synthetic to me because women have been socialized to think differently and shamed historically for engaging male pursuits or thought processes.

I personally used to buy the whole women are emotional, men are logical thing until grad school when my mind was opened to dozens upon dozens of women engaging in the most complicated of physics or engineering concepts. I rarely heard them speak about their "feelings" and they were very quick to accept criticisms . They readily accepted faults quickly changed biases or wrong theories.

When I first encountered them, my first reaction was cognitive dissonance. I began to think, there must be some trauma or some other factor that "broke" these women, but it dawned on me after speaking to them that they were just free to express themselves and pursue their interests as kids. By and large they weren't forced to be dainty and weren't limited from logical thought and they flourished.

We can’t because we are not raised the same. There are things they grow up seeing that we don’t see that they see and vice versa. There are expectations that we have placed on us and expectations that they have placed on them. We can’t think the same because we don’t learn the same things the same way (bc of society and culture) which makes our perception of things wholly different. That’s why I listen more than I speak now because I definitely be learning a whole lot from women just by recognizing they have a whole different worldview that’s just a legitimate as ours.
