I honestly don't see how it flops...
Like the story would have to be ungodly levels of awful. But it's one of those inspirational dramas about an underdog so that's pretty hard to fukk up. Definitely some Oscar baiting going on here

Look, black actors already have to scrape the bottom of the barrel for good scripts. Look at how Denzel has had to make great performances from mediocre scripts all his career. Imagine if he had real first options for great movies how big he would be.

Honestly in terms of the new black actors I think he’s the best hands down. This movie showcases his acting talent to the point you can’t refuse it. Damson idris is good to. But Jonathan majors is that dude when it comes actors. Megan seen the vision the boy is talented.
