I know that risk but it will deter average civilians because they no its illegal to own fire-arms, as for criminals they will always be crimininals and a cell is waiting for them when they fck up.

As for normal hard-working god fearing people, they can now take a gear off and feel safer as there is no immediate danger, It will be big but its going to take about 10 years but there will be no gun shops, and etc.

just law enforcement having guns to tackle obvious criminals and etc.
So why would the normal hard-working god fearing people feel safer when criminals will always be criminals and guns will be available to them from the black market?

People wear guns now because of criminals. Criminals who are felons and not supposed to have guns get guns. So when you take away the right to be armed, you are still going to have criminals with guns. How much safer are you making citizens feel? It's going to make them feel even less safe.

You know most of these gun crimes are not always from criminals, often its an abused teen or a fired employee or a man thats been rough times and has had enough ... with guns at their disposal thats when guns go off and people die.

criminals mostly deal with criminals, turf wars, robberies and etc. The fear propaganda pushed is what is keeping innocent civilians armed but if we had faith in law enforcements and laws then no need to arm ourselves.

exp :

a guy mad as hell wants retribution looks to get a gun cant find a gun and eventually cools off

^ This cant happen today, but my hope is with 'gun awareness' and pushing a bill to keep guns at home at all times or 'banished' all together then they're will be less fear and more importantly almost no guns except for law enforcement.

Wrong. Don't make stuff up.

Most gun crimes are attributed to criminals. It is not always gang or drug-related. There are a lot more criminals not associated with a gang or drug activity than you would think. They are their own gang, if you want to think of it like that, but not formally associated with a national gang or local set.

Domestic assault shootings are way lower than homicide/attempted homicide shootings, and whack-job shooting sprees are rare. They just get way more attention from the media.

There are a lot of shootings that happen in all the metro areas of the US in a day. Way too much to report in a 30 minute national news show.
