I find it interesting that in the old school most of the time rappers were eating before 21 and today it's common to get on at 30.

Is it best for the artist who get shine early? Or 25-plus?

Is the commonality of older stars today for the better for hip-hop as a whole?

I say around 23 is a good age but age doesn't really matter as long as you constructing good songs

Depends where you from, west coast and east coast rappers put out classics between 18 -20.

Even at 35, most down south artists still put out trash.

I think the prime age would be whenever you get your shyt together. 20s - 30s. but not much later than 30 to already be around in the industry and knowing people. everybody is different, so who to really say. you just cant be senior citizen, grey hairs on the chin status and dropping your first project. fukk outta here with that.

Ain't no prime age now. Look at Ross l, look at chains, etc.

90's era it seemed that the 20-25 age was most rappers prime.

The Age of outkast Pac big mobb deep etc was just stupid. Them dudes was making classics at 20 and 21 years old.

I think most rap is youthful music with a few exceptions... Its also trendy, so you gotta be kinda young to get on with the times... I'd say it depends on the mc also...

Nah, I wouldn't say so.

But there was definitely a prime TIME to. I'd say if you got into during the late 80's or early 90's, you'd have great ears for quality or a decent standard for what classic Hip Hop is. You'd embrace diversity a lot more than someone who just got into it after that time. That era shaped your ear for greatness.

Its gonna take about 7 years to get 'on' unless you know people and they prioritize you.

4-5 years max of being at your sales/demand peak.

Really all depends on when you want to peak.

In the 80's & 90's you had to be working on your craft as a teenager. Now theres so many older rappers still hanging around I'd say no later than 22 or 23.

18-25 is the best time to get on. If you're 35 and trying to go mainstream you won't capture the zeitgeist of the current generation. Snoop, Method Man, Ludacris, Outkast and Pac seemed so hip and "of the time" when they came out. You can even hear/feel the youthfulness on old ass records like Doggystyle and Enter The Wu-Tang. I feel the same way about Odd Future and Azealia Banks.
