Yes and no.
It should be used in more intense settings, but the writing doesn't justify a match getting to that point. It's not as personal or as intense as the TNA writing.
In a perfect world they'd get hit with chairs and stuff and be ok going forward but it can't be that way. It's like the NFL

I stopped watching wrestling like 5-6 years ago but I didn't know there was not any blood or chairs allowed.
What kind of shyt is that?
Even though we knew it was fake it still made the shyt alot more interesting, I always knew that random chair didn't just happen to be right there outside the ring.
Wrestling has changed... I see more dudes talking about the chicks than the actual wrestlers

Not only don't they allow blood - but if some trickles, they'll stop the match and clean the guy up. It's embarrassing.
Funny because TNA calmed down with the excessive blood spots - and then had it in the Roode/Storm match and it was very effective.

Chairshots I don't mind that much. But blood can give a match a special feel when a feud has enough hatred and intensity. Thing is, booking has made sure that there's no such thing in today's WWE.
I feel like because WWE is so sterilized these days it's all the more surprising when blood does come out i.e. Cena/Lesnar, Punk/Lawler since they're not blading anymore.

Doesn't matter. The stars of today are too boring to make anything of it work except for Bryan and Taker. And yes...the booking is disgusting. As you witnessed tonight with the obessions to put Johnny boy in the middle of every development and major main event.
