Do you know any black men who work on Oil rigs or fields?

Apparently you don't need much experience to work on a rig, just to be a laborer of some stripe. I follow a black rig worker on YT and he seems to enjoy the job and make good money.

Anyone know of any?

Yeah a bunch of guys I grew up with moved to Alberta, Ca after HS to work the oil sands.

They said they made a ton of money but I think they blew it on whatever young people spend their money on lol.

The works tough and not for everyone.

Yep. Know a few. They say it can be tough work.

They make some great money. Being on that rig allows for saving it as well. One breh I know went and bought him an F-250 right off the lot, cash. Pretty truck.

Nah I own 3 businesses now.

It was cool though. Early mornings and long days. But I was making $120k-190k yearly.

All these Texas threads got me feeling homesick.

I knew more than a few growing up. (Also Black techs and Engineers at NASA. Didn't realize it was a "big thing" until recently)

THEY WORK for the money. Not just the job, not just the conditions, but the people they gotta deal with.

It's dangerous work if you're stupid, pays well, but you need to get into that kinda field young, cause your body gonna remind you.
