Do you know anyone currently sick with COVID, or suffering from long COVID, or anyone who has recently died from it?

I'm asking because I haven't heard anything lately. Yall know how cautious I am but even I'm starting to feel like this thing might really be almost over, cause I don't know anyone who has it or anyone who has died recently.

The people I know who have long covid have other conditions as a result of catching covid. Ones lungs are damaged and he can't stand for long periods of time anymore and has trouble breathing at times. Another has persisting brain fog and she forgets a lot and has moments where she gets confused. Another is on dialysis now because her bout with covid damaged her kidneys.

Stuff like that.

I work with a girl, unvaxxed, got it last August. Still can't taste/smell. She said she has heart arrhythmia or some shyt now too.

Work in a hospital. Yea people still catching it and yes people are dying. With vaccine, treatments, and medicines readily available though now it’s much more rare
