too much low-balling & blackballing in those days. jay-z is one of the main culprits. thus, we have a 60 year old jay-z putting out horrible records and still being in the forefront. this is not the hip-hop that I came up on.

like @Big Mel said a week or so ago, things got "hairy" after '96. it wasn't really about rap no more.

and im sorry, but out of those crews you mentioned, 3 of them were industry plants. that's not the spirit of our music. GBE aren't plants but they suck.

The industry has always been crap since Motown and Capitol records in the 50's, so you are not really saying anything new. Wow, your post was pretty subpar.

90's without a doubt

Although, 00's is when I made a transition to trip-hop, electronic and downtempo so I can't be too mad.

NO JOKE.

of course the record business has always been corrupt. the rap game is just an absolute joke now. I don't know when you got into hip-hop, but if you were into it anywhere near as long as I was, you can see the clear difference.

no need to throw lil pop-shots and insults. im not even on that tip in here. obviously, I mustve said something you didn't like concerning a rapper that you cared for. deal with it.

I grew up on early 00s. 2000 to 2003/2004 was :blessed:

From when DMX dropped What These bytches Want to when Kanye West dropped Jesus Walks. Beautiful era :blessed: The years directly after that though. Absolute worst period of hip hop :scusthov:
