These days I only do the work that's convenient. Brakes/wipers/oil changes etc. And anything on my motorcycle. Some shyt either isn't worth buying the tools for or my time

Fellas, I’m not a mechanic by any means. Everything I’ve learned is from YouTube, car forums, or my pops. Spend $200 and go get you some tools from harbor freight.
Obviously complicated Engine or transmission work I leave to a professional shop. But regular maintenance(brakes, tuneup, oil change, suspension work) I do myself

Goofy shyt. A reliable brand (Lexus, Acura) will get you to 200k with minimal issues. I had a Lexus with 190k when I sold itNope.
I don't keep cars around that long after they're out of warranty.
