Do you prefer 3rd person or first person perspective games?

I can’t stand first person outside of actual shooting games. If Cyberpunk had a 3rd person mode it would have held my attention and not taken me 5 years to beat.

I wish I'd saved the links back then, but I remember reading articles about this response effect years ago. A significant percentage of people got into a sort of uncanny valley mindspace while playing FPS games, and their bodies physically rejected the experience.

it's basically motion sickness. your brain is getting conflicting information from your eyes and inner ear. the eyes see motion, but the inner ear doesn't feel acceleration
