I still find it funny that WWF lost it's iconic acyonym, to a wild life organization with a Panda Mascot.
:mjlol:
Argued with an autistic Cac in a food court once (Or he argued with me, I was just trying to leave) when he overheard me still calling WWE, WWF.
Like my dude, I do not care nearly as much as you need me to be, in order to call that shyt correctly. Neither of us are getting paid in this situation and we BOTH know the product I'm referring to.

I'm not gonna pretend to know the ins and outs of these fukkery but I would assume a charitable organization that wants as much money as possible for their cause would had been open to a deal and that deal would probably be cheaper than the rebranding

They had a previous deal in place. The issue was on camera they were supposed to use World Wrestling Federation and not the initials whenever possible. It was about to go to court and they realized it makes more sense to just rebrand.

1996-2001 was peak WWF and WCW wrestling tho

@Stick Up Kid did you ever watch any wrestling post 2001? If not you missed out on peak Kurt Angle, 2001 Steve Austin heel run where he arguably had his greatest year in terms of his in ring work, also Shawn Michaels 2002 come back.

Same.

That's basically from 5th grade to 9th/early 10th grade for me.

Shyt was magical. Rock and Stone Cold promos alone made Raw and Smackdown worth watching. Always felt like Raw had better matches/action.

After '01 or '02, I stopped caring. Can't even explain why but it just didn't hit the same.
