You do have a point breh. nikkas tried to shut down I75 out here in Atlanta. When I read that I had to salute those cats. On the flip side I told my girl pops and he was like "why they protesting Mike Brown down here in ATL?"

Mike Brown def made a difference, but we are still SOUND asleep.
everybody aint going to ride ..doesn't matter if they black or see they brothers/sisters being killed. We know this from black history revolts

I'm gonna be brutally honest and this isn't to say it's right, but after that video surfaced of him pushing that store owner, most folks tuned Ferguson and Mike Brown out. Again, it's not right. But that video contradicted what his friend said in many folks' eyes, which soured the whole situation. Many are clueless to the new developments as a result. That's just the world we live in. Once folks in large numbers tune it out, the media did the same.

Also, the average person has their own hurdles to jump over so they aren't gonna spend too much time on that of others. That sounds selfish in a way I guess but once again it's brutal honesty.

No worries though, when the verdicts roll around it will get a new bout of attention.

It had a marginal effect. People are back to :snooze: now though.

The problem is, we don't have a movement. Once something bad happens, we react. But where's everyone at BEFORE the next crisis hits? Very few people are proactive. Very few people organize.

I see no major change, its like blacks are having several wake up calls and still can't get up to go to work(and we do need to go to work ).

:wow: Truth. Good analogy breh.

Lyrics are still relevant all these decades later. Listen to what Brother D (Breh D) is saying :damn: especially later in the song, shyt is deep!

Nobody's talking about Mike Brown breh

Black people of today dont like to speak up, but they are thinking it..anyone knows they could be next. From harassment we get everywhere, Mike Brown highlighted that. People have too many bad experiences themselves, Mike Brown hit hard but people too timid.

Black people are more racially aware again but its to early to tell if it will last.

Racist white people are coming out of the closet and normal white people hate cops more than ever.
