in 20 years will the format be the same....like verse hook verse hook. basic chords and melodies that all genres have shared for the past 60 years. or will we be on some permanent bjork abstract type shyt. with Ye' screaming in the booth for a whole minute and people calling it genius and other artists just dying to be unique what will we have to expect. it's good to push boundaries, but what if what's on the other side is something really fukked up that we can't reverse? people these days are so impressionable that as long as the crowd agrees eventually they will bend their thoughts to think the same way. with certain power structures in high positions that seek to control culture and intelligence through mass media, with music being one of it's main vehicles, what's going to happen to being "normal." kids used to want to be cool...then unique...now i'm just starting to see accepted weirdoism spread like wildfire. don't get me wrong, we're all weird in our own ways....but i'm talking about being WEIRD. then you have these people infiltrating the culture and becoming tastemakers and shyt. when you have people like that dictating what's art and what's groundbreaking all types of fukkery might ensue. what's going to happen in 15 years to hip hop?
