A black man in the presence of a non black person
Breh, there is a LOT worse that a non-black person can call me that brotha. In my old community college that attracted mothafukkas from EVERYWHERE around
the world, I did meet a couple country bumpkin mothafukkas in my "College Success" course. First day
"

Any Ya'll got a pen not in use?"
Passed him one.
"

Thanks, Brotha." Cool cats with great senses of humor. In the end (cue the "koombayah" response) we all the same anyway.
He didn't say anything offensive, and I prefer that to Sir or some other shyt. What gets me is "My friend."
I did one night dishwashing (then quit) last week in a kitchen that spoke predominantly spanish. Everyone referred to me as "my friend."
That is damn near offensive
