Or if you want one you have to draft or trade for them? First things First today was talking about the idea of waiting until the summer to sign stars is an outdated concept from a bygone era.

The fact that a 25 year old 2x mvp Lebron was a free agent with on the market 15 years ago is crazy. That will probably never happen again :wow: :wow:

Nope. After Kevin Durant burned OKC the whole league took notice and said that’s not going to happen again. I have a strong suspicion that LeBron wants to do this by getting a buyout but the Lakers are saying no fukking way

Either you sign the extension or you’re being traded by the deadline.

I think a bigger factor among players were the Isaiah Thomas and DeMarcus Cousins injuries. Max players don’t wanna take the risk.

If the situation is correct then yes. People talking about trading for a star but few teams are going to do that and give up major assets for a player they know will go into free agency.

Not going to lie anytime a superstar becomes a free agent the hype levels goes up not knowing what they will do , I'm going to miss that...

I won't. The Free Agency "craze" is overrated. It cheapens the sport a bit and turns it into TMZ ball

There was a point where nearly 50% of all NBA media was centered around "Is X player going to leave his team??? If so, where to?"

I don’t know if I understand the question but might not Jalen Brunson and Kyrie be FAs next year?

Do you mean like if a player will chose to test the market?

I mean if you’re a superstar you have that power, not everyone wants to flex it in managements face like Bron though

NBA superstars are now NFL QBs...if they reach FA the team doesn't see them as that guy/got some sorta questions or reservations.
Salaries are jumping all the time so financially it would be expensive to not take the extension when offered. So yea given that you have the max, unless a player isn’t thinking financially, then this makes sense
