I can tell you now its not as easy as it looks. To make any real money at it we are talking about high levels of skill in video editing, content management, creativity as well as having a personality. Plus, besides Adsense you have to create CONSISTENT content to get bread on a regular, which is what causes most people to fall off.

Anything that you have to get up, do, think about, and have a have varying levels of competence to be successful at that makes money is a job. I can tell you first hand the difference between making $100 a month and $10k a month on youtube is wholly dependent on your ability to know your audience and grind.
