I still wear masks in public, not cuz of covid, just cuz I like being incognito when I'm out & about

really should never be socially unacceptable. if you have cold or something you should still wear a mask when you outside so you not spreading germs. at least in crowded places like a bus or subway.
I liked that japan was already on this wave before covid and it was just normal.

Wearing masks should never have been a controversial issue, and if we had better leadership at the time it probably wouldn't have been.

I still wear a mask on the subway, and I'll probably have one on during my flight Saturday too. I didn’t start having colds again until I stopped wearing them.
