im kind of conflicted. its clearly an aesthetic bite, to the point where you could blend both beats together. and it samples ANTE UP itself as well



so as i said i thought aesthetically it was a bite, and MOP agree apparently





i know its an old topic, but considering we still debate jay vs nas i figured this was ok

Did John Cena personally bite it? Probably/maybe not. But the person who made his theme song definitely did, and Cena was probably either a MOP fan or an Ante Up fan as well, so he saw nothing wrong with this theme.

Other than them both having horns, they aren’t even similar songs. Cena’s theme sounds like something a generic Chicano/white, backpack rapper, from 1999 would rap over. A lot of WWF’s entrance theme songs do normally bite aesthetics that some character’s are based on, but nothing about his theme says “Ante Up” lol
