Do you think the D'Angelo family is insensitive to Italians and Italian-Americans?

Is it insensitive to Italians/Italian-Americans, or is it just good clean characters in a wrestling world that is more entertaining when there are many distinct characters?

It does seem corny and out of date like a character from early 90s WWE, but people fukk with it I guess. I haven’t seen any complaints yet :yeshrug:

Enzo was better though :lolbron:

It's less insensitive and more "we're really doing a The Godfather gimmick 50+ years later?" shyt. It was already extremely dated and lame when ECW and then WCW did it 25 years ago. Add another 25 years and like, come on water we dune here?

Mafia gimmicks in general might be the worst gimmick in pro wrestling

I guess I could see how someone could find it insensitive or offensive. Using ethnic stereotypes is pretty lame though. Especially when it’s done by people that have no clue about the culture that is being portrayed.

But like @stro says, it’s dated and feels like something from the 80s or 90s when virtually everyone was a gimmick instead of just a character.

I mean to be fair, Paul Heyman has always done things like that. I remember when he made the stable the Baldies in 99 who hadnt been active as an actual gang in the Bronx since he was a kid. It is what it is. JT Smith having so much heat trauma from matches that he thought he was italian was a fire storyline idea though :lolbron:
