The lack of rap battles is one of the main reasons so many untalented nikkas are able to thrive in “music” these days. Its also one of the main reasons so many untalented nikkas are walking around really thinking they nice……....

I mean, if a nikka let you sit around and shoot uncontested jump shots and lay ups all day mad nikkas would look like they belong in the NBA. The reality comes in when u out there on the court competing against nikkas. That’s where you really find out where you stand.

And that’s what rap has become……….a bunch of nikkas sitting around shooting uncontested shots………

What’s even worse is how people are allowing these nikkas to get all their points cherry picking. Common brings a battle to Aubrey’s doorstep and nikkas is cool with letting that nikka avoid the conflict.………even going so far as to drag commons name through the dirt…smh………..I went out and bought the nikka album.

But anyway, that’s me, where you stand on the issue?

That's my main beef. That and the excuse fans give when rappers get dissed. People shouldn't diss Soulja Boy because he's young, shouldn't diss Drake because he's popular, shouldn't diss so-and-so because they're making money, blah, blah, blah.

I don't want that beef shyt where people are dying over music. I do want the competitiveness to come back. Now no one is wack and no one is dope. Every rapper can find a niche and be accepted no matter what.

Rap battles coming back would be sick. At your favorite mcs concert another mc jumps on stage and they just trade verses. Youtube videos of backstage cyphers, just something so we know these guys still want to be the best.

The problem is that these rappers don't have no pride in their skills.

No one cares about being truly considered dope, or being the best.

They say "We just trying to get money" like you can't battle and get money.

But we know in the age of rappers doing "freestyles" while reading from their phone. These new nikkas ain't built for that.

There will be a time when battling will come back strong but these days when Rick Ross, Drake, Waka Flocka, Future are some of the time rappers it probably wouldn't be that great

its cuz those who can already have and paid there dues and are "above" that now... and most of these new dudes cant even write so how they guna freestyle??

i dont mind beef as long as it stays on wax... good competition is what the biz needs... if dudes had to battle or w/e to be relevant... alot of these dudes would be nobodys like they should be
