Do You Think We as Consumers of Entertainment Know/Care too Much About BTS Information?

I think about movies, music, and television and there was a time when we just consumed entertainment without questioning or knowing the behind the scenes information

I.E. directors, writers, producers, views/sales.

Now, that type of think has permeated in all forms of entertainment.

You take music, and prior to 50 Cent's popularity the general public didn't really care about album sales.

Now, we know the first week sales of every rapper's project because it's always being reported on.

When a movie comes out there's a fan base that focuses on the production company, the writers, executive producers, distribution, and weekend box office numbers.

Is too much time spent on BTS information and is it getting in the way of is being able to just enjoy entertainment?

I can admit there are times when I watch movies and knowing that it was a flop kind of clouds my judgement of the movie.

It's definitely to much information.

I notice it alot when discussing big upcoming films and my anticipation for them. Mfers are crawling all over leakes set photos, casting decisions and more. It creates a shytload of information known waaay ahead of time that just spawns a shytload of fanboyism/haters that are fueled by assumptions based on incomplete information.

nikkas that would normally only care about the quality of the art, are instead obsessed with stream counts/sales numbers and commercial acceptance. Just a shytshow. Some of the best hip-hop I have ever heard wasn't from an album that went platinum. It's just sad in a way. But thats the world now.

Sometimes I think a look into the process can be real cool

Other times I feel like Jack Nicholson said "You can't handle the truth!" And this really goes for sports and pro wrestling

Nah, real ones always wanted to know the behind the scenes. We always read the liner notes and took note of who the producers and engineers were; who mixed the record; who mastered it; who sang background and who played what instrument on it. Nowadays, nobody really cares about that stuff. Good luck finding that info from Spotify or Pandora on whether new stuff is being released.

I'd make the argument now that the people who are interested in this has increased in percentage.

When Travis Scott dropped Utopia it had no features listed but the Internet quickly labeled every artist on that album before it was on streaming apps with the features listed.

I'm supposed to be mad with her because she wasnt paid enough.

How about I don't really know how much a comedian is supposed to make per Netflix special and I honestly don't really care either lol.

BTS info meshes well with the illusion because you get the best of both worlds.

I have been watching the Robocop Documentary and was mindblown of how much work and effort was put into the movie, with the budget that they had. Its a unique time capsule that gradually becomes a body of work involving discussions and references concerning the entertainment industry.

Hell, as much as I hate the idea of the BTS insider shyt being a big part of wrestling, it works for engagement and business philosophy, despite heads being armchair investors and shyt :dead:
