I know some of the country goes out of the way to suppress the vote but it seems like this should be a no brainier. bytch McConnell doesn't want it of course.

Half the GOP "vote no matter what" crowd are retired, or women who stay home, and have all day to vote. They also have a demographic of hardcore christian voters who believe liberals are evil athiests who want to kill innocent babies. The pro-life crowd shows up to vote.

A lot of independents and democrats vote based on how much they like the particular candidate, and if they don't like either side, they don't vote. That isn't strategic voting because someone is getting elected regardless if you vote.

My job lets us out early for general elections.

polling stations are open from like 8 to 8 :yeshrug: i dont know anyone in real life who wants to vote, but can't make it to a 12 hour window

republicans are cheaters, but they arent capable of stopping people from voting en masse. i refuse to give them that much credit

work is 9 to 5 and polling has 3 hour waits in the inner city. 1 hour commutes...suddenly it doesnt look so realistic

I disagree with this I know in my state you only get two hours in the work day. I would imagine if you are a parent or caring for someone in some way that makes it damn near impossible in some instances not to mention when polling places are far distances which we know this has been a tactic in the past.

So bankers and teachers can vote, but your retail/restaurant/gas station/grocery store every day ass workers still would have issues because of long waits and they have to work that day. Don’t know why every state can’t just adopt the early vote. No ones at polls in Nevada Election Day because you can vote for weeks prior

I think everything should either be closed down or maybe everything should only be opened for half a day.

The next time the Democrats get a super majority, their sole purpose should be a national holiday and election reform. Republicans would never even sniff power again with legit elections.

Agreed we know they have less people voting for them not just for these presidential elections but for the house and senate the system is just rigged.

Instituting early voting is the solution. But the states that are traditionally red don’t want minorities to have umpteen chances to send a ballot in with voting open for weeks
