Do you think we will see less Blacks into firearms with Biden in office?

I have been thinking about this a bit since my group focuses on education/training for Black folks in firearms.

Black gun ownership this year is at an all time high. This can be contributed as a reactionary response to the Trump Administration which caused huge division, more racism and xenophobia.

I'm wondering since Biden is now President-Elect will these new gun owners and people who bought them as protective means admist the social/political climate will actually go to the range, get training, and be engaged, or will that go all by the wayside come inauguration.

Being most Blacks vote Democratic and now we got a Democrat, despite Biden's stance on banning "assault weapons" I doubt he will get much pushback from Blacks. But maybe I'm wrong.

What's everyone's thoughts?

If this shortage doesn't go away than its absolutely certain to be less black gun ownership growth.

COVID-19 + shortage + crazy ammo prices are certainly causing a squeeze. Most of us are stuck dry firing at home.

Yes.

It's back to sleep now that Biden is in power, everything's good, the institutional racism is back with a smile. Kamala is wearing Timbs and using seasoning in the white house or whatever weak suburban stereotypes she invokes.

I'm extremely concerned that this will be the sentiment going into 2021.

Unfortunately, no matter who the president is, black people should still carry firearms to defend themselves not only from white supremacist but other black people. Just because you're on some pro-black unity shyt, it doesn't mean that all black people you come across are on the same shyt as well. People are still gonna get robbed, home invasions are still going to happen, etc. so you should be prepared for that as well.

I feel like people buy guns when they feel threatened. The same surge of gun buying happened among Republicans when they (stupidly) thought Obama would make all guns illegal. I think with black people, as long as there aren't any huge violent situations led by MAGA, we will return to our normal levels of interest in firearms.

I went to buy ammo the other day and the gun store was back to all magats again. Miserable looking white dudes in graphic tees having something to do with the flag or the punisher.
