Do you think women of today will be competent mothers?

Most girls today are always either on Facebook or Twitter, tweeting away random stuff. But will they actually become competent mothers? I mean.. if your pants rip, your mom always knows how to sew them back up. You have family coming over, your mom can whip up a four course meal in a matter of hours. And that's not counting the fact that women today have careers now compared to the past.

Do the girls growing up in this generation actually have the required skills to be capable mothers? I've been questioning this for awhile and sometimes when I scroll through my Twitter feed I lose hope in some people. I can't be the only one who has thought about this?

This is sort of a odd question as it leaves the other parent, the father out of the equation. Does he exist? Are we at a point where it is just expected the only parent will be a "mother"?
