No, but only because of what my job is, which requires me to do A LOT of reading, research, engineering, and then being the top decision maker on multiple things. And if things go bad the first thing the managers are going to do is look at who's names is on the signatures and it's going to be mine. Because of this I have to listen to everything with a critical ear and know when some one is bullshytting me on something. And since I have to do this for hours a day 5 or 6 days a week, it becomes very easy for me to see it in everyday life.

If you not someone who really has to use their brain and have to have a lot of independent thought at your job and/or everyday life, you can easily be brainwashed.

Similar for me. My previous job and current one require me to filter out people trying to soften or outright lie about things. Also piecing together information that doesn't make sense. I feel like a crime scene investigator sometimes.
