Covid vaccine, BLM debacle and this current Israel/Palestine war has shown us majority of folks can be brainwashed through media and fake social media posts. Media knows how to control emotions and impair critical thinking skills.

Always wait for facts and truth to come out rather than making conclusions during the breaking news phase.

After reading this thread i was going to say a better word is influenced but then i realize thats a softer friendlier term for brainwashed since thats a job title now and profitable being an influencer. The influencer tries the hardest to gain a following to get sponsored and sell shyt to u. Thats why i dont really follow any podcast or show religiously and can objectively cut it off when i feel it ran its course without stanning it.

Cant say we are not brainwashed because that just means u drift towards anti or counter culture norms which there is content and merch for. As a kid i was never a follower instead i embraced anything that interested so i ended up having friends who would never hang out with the other. Athletes, nerds, antisocial, lames, etc whatever label somebody would give them i could find a common ground. If u are entertained by sports u are allowing yourself to be brainwashed that the game matters or that movie
