i tip 20% to any restaurant i sit down and eat at that i'm served by a waiter or waitress.....

if i get a carryout and all the person is doing is operating a cash register, i don't tip... *crowd gasps*



listen, i've never tipped at mcdonald's, never heard of anyone tipping at mcdonald's and there is no culture for tipping at mcdonald's... but if you're some mom and pop that doesn't have a waiter or waitress serving someone somehow you still deserve a tip... from me, you gets nada....

i try to always tip SOMETHING because of the $2.13/hr thing. if the waiter is completely awful for some reason ill leave a single dollar or something as an insult lol

theres a local mexican place that pulls out all the stops when you go in. food is and i dread the day ICE raids that kitchen. i always spend like 80-90 bucks so ill drop a 20 on the table and tip the musicians (yes they hire musicians!) too. their chiles relleno is just.... oh man

lol agreed! i HATE those damn credit/debit machines that always ask (in the biggest font possible so the cashier can see) if i want to tip

the only time i tip retail is at the weed dispensary. if the dude working there shows me a bunch of strains and knows his shyt and sells me something new and exciting, i will absolutely tip. thats good service

I only tip when I sit down to eat in a restaurant and I'm being waited on. I don't normally sit down to eat in a restaurant due to tipping. I don't believe in it.

if the cook is running back and forth between the kitchen and cash register, maybe my heart softens... but if all the person is doing is operating the cash register, then no.... i did get shamed one time to tip a lady who was doing nothing but operating a cash register... but it's just not in me to tip someone for any and everything.... i believe in "truth in lending".... in other words, tell me the price... not the core price then all the taxes, fees, and every other thing is added in... all this conning and swindling to get people to pay... if the food order is $60 and the tip should be $9, just charge $69.... it's simple to me... i'm paying the same either way, just be upfront....

Been married for 14 years. My wife is on board. I live in California. They don't get that $2 wage bullshyt other sorry ass states allow. Like I said charge me what you think the service is worth and I can decide if I want to pay it or not.
