Do you use GroupMe? Is it up there with the other chat apps in terms of usage?

I discovered it 3 years ago when a friend started a chat, and it's my personal favorite app because of the ability to post pics, gifs, embedding videos in a way, etc. They're always looking for ways to keep things fresh with updates.

I know the company was purchased by Skype in 2011 for $80MM a couple of months after Microsoft bought Skype. But i wonder...did GroupMe sell too early? I imagine Whatsapp and maybe the Facebook messenger are still the biggest worldwide, but i feel like GroupMe is popular as hell.

I use it, but mainly on PC. I also mute the notifications and just check it when I want to talk some shyt or share something with the guys.

yea, i do the same thing. that's another thing about it - it has a desktop and ipad version. the multi-chat screen is great.

i use the desktop joint at work all day. and yea, i have mine on mute all the time too...but i just check it frequently.

i know something who has a 30+ person chat.
