do you walk past people walking slow or do you suffer in silence behind them?

I'm on a college campus so this happens alot and it's starting to become a pet peeve of mine

if I'm on campus trying to get somewhere or class usually I will pass people up but if im off campus like down a regular street I always at how it would feel to have someone walking up on you really quickly with no one else around. so I usually slow way down and keep my distance for however long they're in front of me.

On that note, I made it a practice to cross the street or speed up if a white lady is on the same sidewalk as me. I don't know what they up to

I walk around people if I am in a hurry and nobody has much of an issue with it, some have even apologized for holding me up, to which I am pretty much like its all good cats aren't always gonna be as hyperactive as me lol

They usually move to the side on their own, but if they don't I just say "excuse me" and pass by as they move.

I never thought about this from a man's perspective. I guess y'all have to factor in not scaring people.
