Does anybody else hate their government name?

My first name and last name is damn near the same Kinda like William Williams or Adam Adams. When ppl ask for my name it turns into an hour long conversation...

The world: So let me get this straight XXX is your first name

Me: Nah it's my last

The world: So XXX is your last name then what is your first name

Me: XXX

The world: So XXX is your first name? I thought you said it was your last

Me: XXX is my first name XXX is my last name

To make matters worse I'm a Jr.

Compared to Japanese surnames , British surnames , Netherlands with the Van . Could be a mental illness but I don't see black disporia jumping up to have an african surname in large numbers
