I don't believe in forgiving just cause time has past.
Forgiveness is what may happen on my end when the person sees what they've done, sees the consequences of it and is remorseful about it, and wouldn't do it again if they could go back, and expresses all that to me. And that chain reaction happens less than 1% of the time so in most cases forgiveness is bullshyt.
Most people just say they're sorry as a form of damage control, not cause they regret the deed. It's just to pacify you cause they're sick of having to deal with your reaction and/or don't want to deal with the effects of their actions.
Lets say I was married for instance, and I cheated on my wife(nah) and she found out. I wouldn't expect her to forgive me. To me that's just real shyt. And If i caught her cheating the marriage is over no matter how long shyt been going.
Like you'll hear nikkas forgive their girl for cheatin cause "she feels bad and she regrets it." No shyt she regrets it nikka she's about to lose something. It's like having an employee and they get caught stealing $100, and they get remorseful. yeah they feel bad in the moment cause they're about to lose their job. Lets say you let em keep the job. You think they regret it 3 years from now? fukk no cause it all came out right for them. shyt prolly steal $10,000 next time. If you stay with ol girl even if she never cheats again you think she regrets fukking dude?
Forgiveness is a lifeline for ain't shyt nikkas and bytches. A character trait that triflin muthafukkas seek out in green muthafukkas they purposefully choose to enter a relationship with, as a contingency plan in case they get caught slippin and their true nature peeks out.
True forgiveness is possible but like any other character trait it's best applied with wisdom otherwise it becomes unjust, and a weakness.
