people talk about all the gains that Stern has made in the league's popularity..but the gamae would be a lot more popular if guys were allowed to show emotion during games, if refs actually had a little fear for their safety like NFL and MLB refs have...

im sure white america at this point, likes WSHH just like neegaz, and wouldnt be adverse to some goonery in their game, some thugging in their timeouts, and the safety off their shooting guards..

its a love/hate. Stern just so happened to come into power as commish of a league at the same time it's league had just brought in the most iconic figure in sports. and he did what he was supposed to do and made the league around him.

we're seeing the backlash of it on this very forum becuz a day doesnt go by without some new wing player being compared to and being stripped down becuz he doesnt quite have what had.

All I care about is the NBA loosening the restrictions on physical play and altercations. This bs where cats are getting 3 game suspensions for breathing too heavy on the court, or overall being a big fat meanie has got to go. Hopefully Silver will be a lil more progressive-minded in that regard. A lot of the intensity that comes with big game competition has been stripped away in the NBA, out of the interest of conservatism and racism.
